Recap: Westview Wildcats vs. West Linn Lions
The Westview Wildcats lost against the West Linn Lions back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Westview was dealt a 63-28 loss at the hands of West Linn. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Westview has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Westview saw an underclassman step up: Dara Oluwafemi scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The match was Oluwafemi's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Natalie Muth was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Westview's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for West Linn, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Westview will take on Canby at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Linn, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings (they are ranked 200th, while West Linn is ranked 24th).
