Recap: Dyett Eagles vs. Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors

The Dyett Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 37-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of Perspectives Leadership/Technology. Dyett lost against Perspectives Leadership/Technology in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 42-30 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Dyett lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kamari Watson . Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. The match was Watson 's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keyana Sanderson, who scored six points.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karla Thomas, who scored 11 points. Jada Morgan was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Dyett bumped their record down to 3-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Dyett will be playing in front of their home fans against Phillips at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they will head out on the road to face off against Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Destiny Taylor and Catrina Sanders.
