The Amanda Elzy Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Leflore County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Amanda Elzy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Tuesday, Amanda Elzy came up short against Greenville and fell 50-43. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hornets 15-10 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Leflore County was able to grind out a solid win over Palmer last Tuesday, taking the game 52-44. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won four in a row.

Amanda Elzy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Leflore County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Amanda Elzy was taken down by Leflore County 68-40 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Tigers' Jeremy Gilbert, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 21 points and four steals.
