Baseball Recap: Florida Christian Comes Up Short

Florida Christian came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Monsignor Pace Spartans, falling 9-3. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Florida Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Sanchez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Florida Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Monsignor Pace, their record is now an identical 7-5.

Florida Christian and Monsignor Pace should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Florida Christian (ranked 141st) will meet Hialeah Educational Academy (ranked 291st) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Monsignor Pace will take on Flanagan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 193 places (143 vs. 336).
