Softball Game Preview: Botkins Trojans vs. Lehman Catholic Cavaliers

The Botkins Trojans will be taking part in a tournament against the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Botkins fell victim to Tri-County North and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since March 30th.

Meanwhile, Lehman Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 15-1 to West Carrollton.

Jenna Baker was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Lehman Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Botkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Botkins suffered a grim 15-5 defeat to Lehman Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
