Basketball Game Preview: Cabrini Monarchs vs. Redford Union Panthers

The Cabrini Monarchs will face off against the Redford Union Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cabrini will be strutting in after a victory while Redford Union will be coming in after a defeat.

Cabrini will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Grosse Ile, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. Cabrini walked away with a 42-35 win over Grosse Ile on Tuesday. Given the Monarchs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th in Michigan, while the Red Devils are ranked 420th in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Redford Union had to suffer through a 65-13 loss at the hands of Marian.

Redford Union dropped their record down to 4-17 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Cabrini, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
