Volleyball Game Preview: Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons vs. Fillmore Central Falcons

Wabasha-Kellogg hasn't had much luck against Fillmore Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Wabasha-Kellogg will challenge Fillmore Central at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wabasha-Kellogg will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Plainview-Elgin-Millville, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Falcons put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Falcons not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 3, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Wabasha-Kellogg's got stronger as the match went on, holding Plainview-Elgin-Millville to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Fillmore Central entered their tilt with Dover-Eyota on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1.

Fillmore Central walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-20, 14-25, 25-20, 25-14.

Wabasha-Kellogg's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Fillmore Central, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

Wabasha-Kellogg might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Fillmore Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can Wabasha-Kellogg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
