Basketball Recap: Dillon Colbert's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Shore over Kingwood

North Shore was the 39-29 winner over Kingwood when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The North Shore Mustangs took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kingwood Mustangs. North Shore just can't catch a break and has now endured six losses in a row.

North Shore's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dillon Colbert, who posted nine points. Colbert is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. Da'Marcus Sloan was another key player, putting up six points.

North Shore's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Kingwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.

North Shore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-67 win against Goose Creek Memorial on the 21st. Kingwood has also already played their next contest (against Channelview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
