Soccer Recap: West Brook Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Brook can now relate to. They lost 5-0 to the Friendswood Mustangs on Friday. While losing is never fun, West Brook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Friendswood are ranked 100th).

West Brook dropped their record down to 10-14-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Friendswood, the victory was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2-1.

West Brook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Friendswood, they will square off against Crosby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crosby will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Friendswood surely won't give up without a fight.
