Basketball Recap: Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cross County, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They snuck past the Fairbury Jeffs with a 45-39 win. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 33-32 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the defeat, Fairbury had strong showings from Brodie Prellwitz, who posted 19 points, and Drew Watson, who scored eight points and seven rebounds.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Fairbury, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley and Wilber-Clatonia will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wilber-Clatonia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season. As for Fairbury, they will take on Central City in a tournament on Monday.
