Basketball Recap: Appleton North Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oshkosh North last Tuesday, Appleton North came back down to earth. The Appleton North Lightning lost to the Kimberly Papermakers at home by a 61-43 margin on Friday. The Lightning have struggled against the Papermakers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Appleton North's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Kimberly, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Appleton North will welcome Kaukauna at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kimberly, they will challenge West De Pere at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
