Basketball Game Preview: Buffalo Grove Bison vs. Schaumburg Saxons

Buffalo Grove and Schaumburg are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Buffalo Grove Bison will head out to challenge the Schaumburg Saxons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buffalo Grove is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Buffalo Grove is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest win since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Elk Grove 70-48.

Meanwhile, Schaumburg beat St. Charles North 63-50 on Saturday. Given the Saxons' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the North Stars are ranked 411th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Schaumburg has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Buffalo Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Buffalo Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Schaumburg in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 41-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Buffalo Grove since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
