Basketball Preview: Clarkston Angoras vs. Cross Keys Indians
The Clarkston Angoras will be playing at home against the Cross Keys Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses for Clarkston and four for the Indians.
Last Saturday, Clarkston ended up a good deal behind the Wolverines and lost 46-30. Clarkston was down 39-18 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Cross Keys took a serious blow against the Knights on Tuesday, falling 65-11.
Clarkston's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-17. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for Cross Keys, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Clarkston against the Indians in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 57-13 victory. Does Clarkston have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
