Recap: Crosspoint Warriors vs. Evergreen Lutheran Eagles
In what's become a running theme this season, the Crosspoint Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Evergreen Lutheran 62-19 on the road. Crosspoint's win was all the more impressive since Evergreen Lutheran was averaging only 28.14 points allowed on the season.
Crosspoint found their leader in underclassman Momoyo Iwata, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Iwata is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Kuske, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
The win was the fourth in a row for Crosspoint, bringing their record for this year to 13-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Evergreen Lutheran, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1.
Crosspoint will head out on the road to face off against Summit Classical Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Summit Classical Christian School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Evergreen Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Evergreen Lutheran is ranked 106th).
