Softball Recap: Cony's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Oceanside on Wednesday, Cony came back down to earth. The Rams took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nokomis Warriors on Friday. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 17-8.

Cony's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Nokomis, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cony will head out to square off against Belfast at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nokomis, they will venture away from home to challenge Leavitt at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
