Softball Recap: Greenwood Comes Up Short

Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to the Fairfield Knights.

Greenwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicole Herr, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Greenwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Fairfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenwood will square off against Susquenita at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfield, they will take on York County Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
