Baseball Recap: Monument Mountain Comes Up Short

Monument Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Taconic Thunder. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Spartans' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Monument Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Taconic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monument Mountain will welcome Hampshire Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taconic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Minnechaug Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
