Plainfield North came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Yorkville Foxes with a sharp 11-5 victory. Considering the Tigers have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Plainfield North pushed their record up to 22-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Yorkville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-15-1.

Plainfield North will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Foxes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
