Basketball Recap: Knowledge Academies Falls Despite Big Games from Zerahiah Polk and Tamia Campbell

Knowledge Academies was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 34-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jo Byrns Red Devils. Knowledge Academies lost against Jo Byrns in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 64-17 score last time.

Knowledge Academies' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tamia Campbell, who went 5 for 8 en route to 16 points and six rebounds, and Zerahiah Polk, who posted four points in addition to 15 boards and five blocks.

Even though they lost, Knowledge Academies smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Knowledge Academies' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Jo Byrns, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-10 record.

Knowledge Academies has already played their next game (against Stem Preparatory Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jo Byrns will head out on the road to square off against East Robertson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
