Basketball Recap: Pike Central Takes a Loss

Pike Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Washington Hatchets and fell 70-28. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Hatchets are ranked 64th).

When it comes to explaining why Pike Central lost, don't look at Cameron Roy. Despite the final result, he posted seven points. The dominant performance also gave Roy a new career-high in steals (two).

Pike Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Pike Central will square off against South Spencer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington has already played their next matchup (against Tecumseh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
