 The Cape Fear Colts entered their tilt with the South View Tigers with 14 consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with 15. Cape Fear walked away with  a   72-60  win over South View  on Friday. Given Cape Fear's advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 31st, while South View is ranked 132nd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Cape Fear had a senior duo take command as  Jayda Angel  dropped  a double-double on 28 points and ten  rebounds and  Kayia Starling  scored 24 points along with eight  rebounds and six  steals. Angel is crushing the point category: she's  posted at least 20 every time she's  taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was  Anijah Jones, who  scored ten points along with eight  rebounds and five  steals.
 Despite the loss, South View still got an impressive performance from   Nahmiah Aekins, who  dropped  a double-double on 22 points and 16  rebounds. Aekins is on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as she's  now  pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's  played.  Zakiera Gaillard was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals.
 Even though they lost, South View  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 28  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cape Fear only pulled down 16  offensive rebounds.
 Cape Fear's win was  their 12th straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 24-1. Those victories were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 75.2 points per game. As for South View, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.
