Preview: Blue Springs Wildcats vs. Blue Springs South Jaguars
Blue Springs has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge The Blue Springs South Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Blue Springs is ranked 24th, while Blue Springs South is ranked 45th).
Last Friday, Blue Springs was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 14-10 to Rockhurst. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Blue Springs in their matchups with Rockhurst: they've now lost four in a row.
Donovan George put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Blue Springs South, who are still winless after their eighth match. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 38-26 to Liberty North, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
The losses dropped Blue Springs to 2-5 and Blue Springs South to 0-8.
Blue Springs might still be hurting after the 44-21 loss they got from Blue Springs South in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Can Blue Springs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
