Baseball Recap: Huron Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

While Huron's win against Perkins wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pirates 7-6. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.

Huron pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Perkins, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6.

Coming up, Huron will challenge Ross at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.8, the Little Giants 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Perkins, they will take on Clyde at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
