Soccer Recap: Ledford Comes Up Short

Ledford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 6-1 to the Oak Grove Grizzlies. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no goals scored by either team from that point forward.

Ledford's goal came courtesy of Carmen Hughes, who's now up to six this season.

Ledford's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Oak Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7-2 record this season.

Ledford will take on Central Davidson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Davidson's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Oak Grove, they will face off against Montgomery Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
