Basketball Recap: Hadley Shipley and Natalie Weems Secure Win for Faith Academy

On FridayKeystone kept up with Faith Academy until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Faith Academy Flames were the clear victor by a 48-28 margin over the Keystone Cobras. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-49 on January 4th.

Leading Faith Academy to victory were Natalie Weems and Hadley Shipley. Weems dropped a double-double on 22 points and 20 rebounds, while Shipley almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Weems is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last eight games she's played.

Faith Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Faith Academy's record is now 6-18. As for Keystone, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Faith Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. Keystone has already played their next match (against Live Oak Classical), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
