Basketball Recap: Knightdale Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Knightdale was feeling good fresh off their 62-25 takedown of Wake Forest last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knightdale Knights took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rolesville Rams. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Despite the loss, Knightdale still got an impressive performance from Ja'Kiyah Moore, who went 8 of 16 en route to 19 points and seven boards. That's the most points Moore has posted since back in December of 2023. Ayomide Adewumi was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 10 points.

It was another big night for Caitlyn Jones, who went 7 of 15 en route to 17 points along with seven steals and six assists for Rolesville. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahriell Murchison, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Knightdale's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4. As for Rolesville, they moved to 11-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Knightdale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
