Baseball Game Preview: Marion Center Stingers vs. Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays

The Marion Center Stingers will face off against the Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Marion Center nor Conemaugh Valley posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Tuesday, Marion Center came up short against Portage and fell 5-1.

Marion Center saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camden Rising, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Conemaugh Valley has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against West Shamokin, falling 11-1. The loss was the Blue Jays' first of the season.

Logan Heinlein was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played.

Marion Center's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Conemaugh Valley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
