It was a good run, but Southwestern unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Monday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to Danville Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Southwestern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Danville Christian Academy is ranked 21st).

Southwestern's loss dropped their record down to 21-14. As for Danville Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 22 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season.

Southwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Danville Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 39-36 win against Mercer County on the 11th.
