Basketball Recap: Burke County Extends Winning Streak to Six

Burke County extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from La'Quinton Morgan. The Burke County Bears walked away with a 64-57 win over the Glenn Hills Spartans on Friday thanks in part to Morgan, who went 9 of 19 en route to 30 points in addition to eight assists and four steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Lambert, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points along with five boards and three blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

Burke County's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Glenn Hills, they are on a 37-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.
