Softball Recap: River View Beats Umatilla for Their Fourth Straight Victory

River View put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Umatilla Vikings as River View made off with a 19-4 victory. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

The team relied heavily on Danika Koch, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lauren Overstreet, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

River View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

River View's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, River View will venture away from home to take on Liberty Bell at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Umatilla, they will welcome Rainier at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
