Basketball Recap: Muncie Burris Takes a Loss

Muncie Burris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Adams Starfires. The Owls lost against the Starfires in their previous head to head back in December of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 65-30 score last time.

Muncie Burris' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for South Adams, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5-1.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Muncie Burris Owls face off against the Delta Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Delta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season. As for South Adams, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fort Wayne South Side at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant forwards against one another: Laney Trausch and Maddie White.
