Baseball Recap: Tri-Cities Christian Gets the Win

Tri-Cities Christian took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Unaka, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles skirted past the Rangers 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Rangers back in March, they had to take a 11-1 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Oak Murray, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase McCready, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Tri-Cities Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Unaka, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Tri-Cities Christian will head out on the road to take on Happy Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Unaka, they will welcome West Greene at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buffaloes' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Rangers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
