Basketball Recap: Burbank Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Burbank kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through an 81-46 loss at the hands of the Bishop Amat Lancers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Bishop Amat's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Omar Cox-Labomme, who shot 47% from the field en route to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Rayshaun White, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 21 points and seven boards.

The victory (which was Bishop Amat's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Burbank didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-52 win against Mark Keppel on the 26th. As for Bishop Amat, they have also already played their next matchup, a 67-41 victory against South on the 26th.
