Basketball Recap: Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was a good run, but Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 61-43 fall against the Freeman Scotties.

Leading Freeman to victory were Taylee Phelps and Rylee Russell. Phelps went 10 for 21 en route to 31 points along with five assists and three steals, while Russell went 10 of 22 on her way to 24 points and three steals. Russell is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Parker Teague was another key player, putting up six points.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Freeman, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-24 win against Upper Columbia Academy on the 21st. Freeman has also already played their next game, a 44-36 victory against Lake Roosevelt on the 18th.
