Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Cornerstone Christian lost against Hooper Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cornerstone Christian Chargers fell 55-43 to the Hooper Academy Colts. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Colts are ranked 53rd).

Despite the loss, Cornerstone Christian still got an impressive performance from Zeke Adams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Adams is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Seth Dillard was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Even though they lost, Cornerstone Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive contests.

Cornerstone Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9. As for Hooper Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

As of now, neither Cornerstone Christian nor Hooper Academy have any future games scheduled.
