Basketball Recap: Naples Comes Up Short

Naples was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 57-49 to the Mater Academy Charter Lions.

Mater Academy Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aheizer Frais led the charge by putting up 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jahi Lopez, who posted seven points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Naples now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Mater Academy Charter, they moved to 6-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Naples has already played their next matchup, a 67-63 win against Ferguson on the 29th. As for Mater Academy Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-48 loss against Port Charlotte on the 29th.
