Softball Recap: Blackhawk Wins Going Away Against Avonworth

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Plum, Blackhawk was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Avonworth Antelopes with a sharp 20-13 win.

Kylie Prisuta made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Prisuta was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Blackhawk got a massive performance out of Morgan Alexander, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Zoey Lindner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

The victory got Blackhawk back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Blackhawk Cougars duke it out with Shenango Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avonworth, they will head out on the road to square off against Montour at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
