Basketball Recap: Central's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maquoketa Valley, Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Clayton-Ridge Eagles by a score of 44-37. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Eagles back in November of 2024, they had to take a 24-23 defeat.

Central's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Clayton-Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Central will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Fayette Valley at 6:15 p.m. As for Clayton-Ridge, they will head out on the road to square off against Starmont at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Clayton-Ridge is facing Starmont at the right time seeing as Starmont is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
