Basketball Recap: Cascia Hall's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of six wins, Cascia Hall's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to the Memorial Chargers 60-56. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Commandos came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Chargers are ranked 47th).

Fabian Harris was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 14 on his way to 20 points and three steals for Memorial. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Garrett, who went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points and six boards.

Cascia Hall's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Memorial, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascia Hall will challenge Millwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Edison likes a good challenge.
