Recap: Orleans Bulldogs vs. West Washington Senators
The Orleans Bulldogs entered their tilt with the West Washington Senators with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Orleans took down West Washington 49-34 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Orleans also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Orleans' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chelsea Ralph led the charge by scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylie Knight, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the defeat, West Washington had strong showings from Jayla Batt, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals, and Meredith Deaton, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Batt is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.
Orleans' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for West Washington, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.
Orleans will head out on the road to face off against Perry Central at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perry Central is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for West Washington, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Crothersville at 6:00 p.m. Crothersville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 390th, while West Washington is ranked 165th).
