Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Burns' 27th in Last 29 Outings

Burns extended their postseason success on Saturday against Salem Academy. They blew past the Crusaders 3-0. The Hilanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

Burns can attribute much of their success to Bailey Temple, who had 18 digs and four aces. Temple is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Temple wasn't the only good servers: Burns was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive contests.

Burns has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 27 of their last 29 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 40-2-1 record this season. As for Salem Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-9.

Burns has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Catlin Gabel on the 8th. Salem Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
