Soccer Recap: Charles Wright Takes a Loss

Charles Wright was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Vashon Island Pirates, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Charles Wright can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Vashon Island are ranked sixth).

Charles Wright's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Vashon Island, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-0-3 record this season.

Charles Wright will face off against Chimacum at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vashon Island, they will host Cascade Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
