Basketball Recap: 13 Straight Road Wins for Friendship Tech Prep Academy

On Thursday, Friendship Tech Prep Academy faced Paul Public Charter International in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Friendship Tech Prep Academy Titans claimed a resounding 96-38 win over the Paul Public Charter International Pirates. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Friendship Tech Prep Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Bumpass, who posted 28 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Bumpass' evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Aidan Haskins was another key player, putting up 22 points and eight boards.

Despite the defeat, Paul Public Charter International saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kamrin Milam put up 15 points. Another player making a difference was Diyon Rodgers, who earned seven points.

Friendship Tech Prep Academy pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 44.3 points. As for Paul Public Charter International, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Paul Public Charter International didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-68 win against KIPP College Prep on the 21st.
