Basketball Recap: Pulaski County Takes a Loss

Pulaski County lost against Patrick Henry back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pulaski County Cougars fell to the Patrick Henry Patriots 56-50. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Patriots are ranked 95th).

Pulaski County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Patrick Henry, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pulaski County will venture away from home to challenge Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Patrick Henry, they will head out to face off against Blacksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
