Softball Recap: Exeter Township Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Friday just wasn't the day for Exeter Township's offense. They came up short against the Boyertown Bears on Friday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Exeter Township's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Boyertown, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Exeter Township will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Manheim Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boyertown, they will welcome Plymouth Whitemarsh at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
