St. Georges Tech faced Mount Pleasant in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Green Knights with a sharp 20-8 win. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

St. Georges Tech's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Mount Pleasant, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Looking ahead, St. Georges Tech will challenge Christiana at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Pleasant, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-10 loss against Brandywine on the 15th.
