Baseball Recap: Hudsonville Picks Up 13th Straight Win on the Road

Hudsonville strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the West Ottawa Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 on Wednesday.

Hudsonville got a great performance from Brayden Muir as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Muir has posted since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Nolan Feenstra was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caeden Kennedy, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Hudsonville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Ottawa only posted a batting average of .118.

Hudsonville pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for West Ottawa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
