Volleyball Game Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Desert Hills Thunder

The Dixie Flyers will venture away from home to square off against the Desert Hills Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Dixie came up short against Snow Canyon and fell 3-1. The Flyers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 27-29, 25-19, 25-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Desert Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against Crimson Cliffs by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Thunder as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

While Desert Hills might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Crimson Cliffs scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 26-24.

Desert Hills now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Dixie couldn't quite get it done against Desert Hills when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Dixie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
