Football Recap: Caston Falls Despite Big Games from Gavin Mollenkopf and Logan Mollenkopf

Caston lost against Triton back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Comets fell 28-16 to the Trojans. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caston's loss came despite strong showings from Logan Mollenkopf and Gavin Mollenkopf. Logan picked up 145 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Gavin threw for 149 yards and one TD.

Caston's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Triton, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Caston is set to face off against their familiar foe North Judson-San Pierre at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Triton will take on rival Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Trojans 9.7, the Panthers 11.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
