Baseball Game Preview: Brush Arcs vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The Brush Arcs are taking a road trip to challenge the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Brush lost 9-2 to Perry on Tuesday.

Brush saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Rucker, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Roosevelt not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 3, 2024. They never let Cuyahoga Falls get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Teddy Maccarone, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Deonne Dickerson, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Roosevelt's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Brush, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Brush beat Roosevelt 7-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Arcs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
